HOW DO I CREATE AN EKAR ACCOUNT?

Creating an ekar account is easy! You need to be at least 21 years of age and have the following:

- A valid UAE driving license (with at least six months validity)
- A valid national ID
- A valid credit or debit card

Creating an ekar account is quick if you have met the requirements.
Start with taking a selfie with your national ID, then upload the selfie along with pictures of your driving license and national ID.

You need to pay a one-time sign-up fee of AED 1.  There will also be a voidable charge of AED 3.67 for credit card validation. Once we have received the required documents, your account will be confirmed and approved in a few hours.

CAN I SIGN UP WITHOUT AN INTERNATIONAL LICENSE?

For those who do not have a driver’s license from the UAE, you can still register as long as you are from any of the GCC countries with home country license, have either a valid driving license from your home country (For exempted countries as per the law) or a valid international license; and a valid passport.

You will also need to pay a refundable security deposit of AED 2000. The Security Deposit will be refunded after 30 days from the last reservation date but upon account cancelation or in case UAE License & Emirates ID is submitted.

HOW DO I RETRIEVE OR RESET MY PASSWORD?

If you tried to sign in to your account on the ekar app but forgot your password, click on the question mark icon on the password bar and enter your email address to retrieve and reset your password.
